Understanding Your Phone Warranty and Repair Options
When you purchase a new phone, it typically comes with a limited manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty covers only manufacturer defects and does not extend to physical or liquid damage. To explore the right repair options for your device, we encourage you to visit telus.com/CheckWarranty or use the My TELUS app. For tips and tricks on optimizing your device, download the Mobile Klinik Device Checkup app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
New or Certified Pre-owned Phones (Purchased Within the Last 15 Days)
If you are not satisfied with your new or certified pre-owned phone, you can return it to the original point of purchase for a full refund or exchange under our return policy. Please note that if you have exceeded the trial limits set in your contract, your first bill may still be due upon return. For more details, visit our return policies page.
In-Warranty Repairs for New Phones
For phones requiring in-warranty repairs, you can visit a Mobile Klinik location or a TELUS store for immediate assistance. Mobile Klinik specializes in servicing Samsung and Google smartphones, often completing repairs within one to two hours. If your phone is sent to TELUS for repair, it will undergo testing and certification, and you can expect it back within 10 calendar days. Repaired devices will either receive a 90-day repair warranty or continue with the existing limited warranty, whichever offers longer coverage.
In-Warranty Repairs for Certified Pre-owned Phones
Similar to new phones, certified pre-owned devices can also be repaired at Mobile Klinik or TELUS stores. The same quick service applies, with repairs typically completed within one to two hours at Mobile Klinik. If sent to TELUS, the same timeline for testing and certification applies, ensuring you have your device back promptly.
Out-of-Warranty Phones
For phones that are out of warranty and have physical or liquid damage, you can still seek repairs. If you have TELUS Device Care, check the details for coverage. Mobile Klinik can perform repairs on most makes and models, often completing them within one to two hours. They also provide a lifetime parts and labor guarantee on all repairs.
If you choose to submit your out-of-warranty phone to TELUS for repair, be prepared to authorize payment up to the out-of-warranty limit. If repair is not feasible or desired, we can discuss alternative options, such as an in-market renewal offer. For the best experience, we recommend bringing your device directly to Mobile Klinik for out-of-warranty repairs.
