Why are the deals I see on telus.com different from what you're offering on the EPP website?

Modified on Tue, 17 Feb at 1:18 PM

TELUS.com shows public, in‑market offers that are available to all customers.

The EPP (Employee Purchase Program) website shows exclusive, private offers created specifically for employees of eligible organizations.

Because these two channels serve different customer groups, the pricing, promotions, plan options, and device discounts can vary. It’s completely normal for EPP deals to look different from consumer offers—sometimes they’re better, sometimes they’re structured differently, and sometimes they include additional program‑specific requirements like employment verification or credit approval.

Key reasons the offers don’t match:

  • Different customer groups:
    TELUS.com = public offers
EPP = exclusive pricing for eligible employees

  • Different promotions & timelines:
EPP deals may start or end on different dates than consumer offers.

  • Different plan and financing structures:
EPP discounts may be applied to
    – Rate plans
    – Device financing
    – Bring‑It‑Back™ amounts
    – Bundled perks
These may not appear on telus.com.

  • EPP offers may not include the same bonuses as public promotions:
For example, consumer‑only bill credits, online‑only discounts, or limited‑time promos may not apply to EPP plans.

  • TELUS keeps EPP pricing separate:
Since EPP pricing is negotiated through employers and partner organizations, it isn’t shown on the public TELUS site.

Which pricing should I follow?

If you’re ordering through your employer’s EPP link or through SmartCell’s EPP portal, always follow the pricing and plans shown on the EPP site, as those are the offers you qualify for.
