Should I choose new activation or upgrade?

New Activation adds a brand‑new TELUS line with a new phone number (or a port‑in from another provider). An Upgrade replaces the device on your existing TELUS phone number. Choose New Activation if you want an extra line or new number; choose Upgrade if you want a new phone but want to keep your current number.
