What condition must my device be in to be eligible for return?

To check if your device is eligible for return and meets the program’s condition requirements, complete the device assessment below:

Note: TELUS will also evaluate your device upon receipt, to determine the final value. 

  1. Does the device power on and navigate properly to the home screen?

  2. Is the user data erased and the activation lock turned off (includes Find my iPhone and other device activation locks)?
  3. Is the front and/or back glass free of cracks, chips and damage (e.g. severe scratches)?

  4. Is the display free of any issues (e.g. screen burn-in, non-functional pixels, blue lines, flickering, etc.)?

  5. Are all of the applicable components intact and functioning properly: cameras, speakers, buttons, stylus, microphone, battery, hinge, charging port, etc.?

If it does not meet the criteria you will need to pay the Bring-It-Back™ Program Amount or you can return your device through the TELUS Trade-In program at a participating TELUS location. Find the Trade-In value of your device here or use the TELUS Device Check Up App. Keep in mind that you may still have an outstanding balance to pay off.
