Device Warranty Information

All TELUS devices are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, which you can find in the packaging for the device. Each manufacturer has its own warranty terms and conditions, but manufacturers generally cover repairs required to fix defects for up to a year from date of purchase.


How to make a warranty claim

If you are experiencing any problems with your device, visit your nearest SmartCell Communications location. A SmartCell Communications representative will troubleshoot the issue and if necessary, help to process a repair or replacement on your behalf. If you cannot return to a SmartCell Communications location, please contact us at 1-866-841-7790.

If we determine that your device is defective in the first 15 days following your purchase, SmartCell Communications will replace the device free of charge. After that 15 day period, SmartCell Communications will repair, or if repair is not reasonable possible, replace the defective in-warranty device. Replacement parts and/or devices may include new or refurbished parts or products and are warranted for 90 days or until the expiration of the original warranty period, whichever is longer.


TELUS Device Protection Plan

With your purchase of a TELUS Device Protection Plan, you are covered against loss, theft, accidental, physical or liquid damage and mechanical and/or electrical failure*. The Device Protection Plan will also protect your device against any factory defect once the 12-month manufacturer's warranty expires.
